Praire Passage

A glimpse behind the collection.

Welcome to the manuscript. A seasonal archive of references, inspirations, and observations collected in service of the story.

The Story

Where the miles are long,
the sky feels endless, and the journey becomes the destination.

Prairie Passage is a collection inspired by open landscapes, weathered stories, and the quiet beauty found along the way. It began with a fascination for the American prairie and the places, people, and memories woven into it. Long stretches of road. Tall grass moving with the wind. Sun-warmed leather. Desert blooms. Small towns and wide horizons, and stories of grit, perseverance, and the women who helped shape them.

Four scents, each a chapter in the journey.

Together they trace a path through places that reward the patient traveler. The one willing to take the scenic route. To pull over when something catches their eye. To linger a little longer than planned and to build home right where you are.

Like all stories in the scent library, Prairie Passage is a seasonal chapter. Once summer has passed, this collection will begin to fade and a new story will take its place.

For now, the road is open.

from The Curators Desk

The inspirations, observations, and stories that helped shape Prairie Passage.

Every collection begins with a question.

For Prairie Passage, it was this: What is it about the landscapes of the American West that continues to capture our imagination?

What followed was months of research, collecting inspiration from art, history, regional botanicals, and the stories embedded in the land itself. I found myself drawn to the paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe, the vast beauty of the Sonoran Desert, desert blooms pushing through unlikely places, weathered trading posts, open roads, and the women whose resilience helped shape life across these landscapes.

Prairie Passage became an exploration of those ideas. Though inspired by the American West, the collection reflects the broader landscapes far and wide within the world itself, traditions, and stories that emerged wherever open land shaped daily life. From prairie grasslands and small towns to desert vistas and distant horizons, each chapter is rooted in a distinct sense of place.

Not as a recreation of the past, but as a reflection on beauty, curiosity, independence, and the enduring connection between people and landscape.

Together, the collection forms a portrait of the land as it was observed, traveled, and remembered.

My hope is that as you explore Prairie Passage, you'll discover not only the fragrances themselves, but the world that inspired them.
